Welcome to KK Pumps

Single or multi-stage centrifugal pumps forming a compact unit in conjunction with submersible motors. The unit is suspended vertically from the discharge rising pipe with only the rising pipes and cable coming out of the well.

The former are used for low capacities and high total heads. The latter are used for medium capacities and medium total heads. 'KK 1 submersible pumps of 'BM' series are fitted with radial flow impellers and 'CM 1 , 'DM', 'EM 1 and 'VM 1 series are fitted with mixed flow impellers.

The impellers are dynamically balanced and all the pump bearings are water lubricated and protected against ingress of sand and other suspended particles. Spring loaded quick acting type non-return valve in the discharge outlet connection, is stream-lined for smooth flow and normally supplied with screwed connections. The pump suction casing is guarded by a perforated strainer to prevent entry of any suspended materials in the water.

- Submersible Motors

Wet type squirrel cage induction motors completely filled with pure clean water.

The water filling serves to lubricate the bearings and to cool the waterproof insulated windings. All motors are sealed effectively against contamination from outside water.

The axial thrust generated by the pump is absorbed by a thrust bearing.

A breather diaphragm beneath the thrust bearing compensates for the pressure which arises from thermal expansion.

The cables are led out of the motor through cable sealing glands and protected against mechanical damage by cable guards along the length of the pump.

KK submersible motors can be supplied suitable for direct-on-line starting, star-delta starting or auto-transformer starting. Motors are normally wound suitable for 400/440 V, 3 ph, 50 c/s. A.C. supply.

Motors can be wound for low voltages, against specific requirements.

The KK submersible pumpsets carry ISI certification mark, as per IS 8034.

The material of construction and performance of these pumpsets conform to 13:8034. Any other material of construction can be supplied against specific requests.

The KK submersible motors conform to IS:9283.

AISI-410 stainless steel is equivalent to 12% chromium steel, Grade 07-Cr 13 conforming to 'IS 1570 (Part V)
